Non-partisan candidate information

Where can I find non-partisan information on candidates?

There are a lot of resources available to research candidates but we do have some recommendations:

  • Vote 411.org by the League of Women Voters is a great resource. They provide information on candidates at the national, state, and local levels and allow you to look at only those candidates on your ballot. All candidate information is in the candidates’ own words.
  • Ballotready.org, through the National Science Foundation, the University of Chicago Institute on Politics, and the Knight Foundations, is a good resource for information on your ballot including politicians and referendums.
  • WNC Voter Guide was created UNCA student Kennedy Young to help voters in WNC prepare to vote
